Why You Should Cruise Lake Lucerne

At the bottom of Mount Pilatus lies the beautiful Lake Lucerne. My friends and I originally planned on taking the train back to Lucerne again after being on the cogwheel railway, but luck was on our side that day. We found out that our first class global pass rail tickets included a ferry ride as an option. Yes, due to our lack of research we almost missed out on the most beautiful ferry ride ever. On top of it, having a first class ticket meant great seats, so we spent most of the almost two-hour ride enjoying some adult beverages...

Swiss Alps: A View From The Top

"The mountains are calling and I must go." -John Muir A bucket list favorite of mine was climbing the Swiss Alps. I have never seen such breathtaking 360 degree views of spectacular summits before and I'm pretty sure this one is hard to top. It seems like I still haven't gotten over my trip to Lucerne. The Riskier, The Sexier…

There's just something about adventurous, risk-takers that make them sexier. [youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMRrXAJiuYQ&w=420&h=315] Last year, I watched amazing paragliders on top of Mount Pilatus jump off  in front of me! It was the coolest thing. Maybe it was the overwhelming scenery, or the adrenaline rush vibe that surrounded me that day. Either way, I like what I was seeing! My curiosity kicked in and I was eager to find out who they were, where they were from,...

Hotel Review: Hotel Falken – Luzern

Great location, cute boutique hotel. My friends and I stayed in Hotel Falken for two nights and spent a full day in Lucerne. I think it's a good bargain for a short term stay and for its location. I also liked that they were able to cater to our group of four and provided individual twin size beds for each of us. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. Just like any other European hotel, the rooms are small. There were four of us so the room was pretty tight. We didn't really care much for that since we spent...

Switzerland Photo Diary

I knew I was going to like Switzerland. I didn't know I would fall in love at first sight. Last year, when I ventured to do a Eurotrip with a bunch of friends, Switzerland made it to our itinerary of five countries in two weeks. The city who introduced me to Switzerand's breathtaking charm was Lucerne. We arrived late night to Zurich from Munich, Germany and then took another train to Lucerne. It was already dark so I couldn't see any scenic view and I was also worn out from the train ride that I didn't have the energy to...
