A visit to Casa Bacardi was in my to-do list in Puerto Rico. They offer three kinds of tours: Visitor Center ($12), Rum Tasting Tour ($35) and Mixology Tour ($35). For details visit Casa Bacardi.
Of course I picked the Mixology Tour and it was worth it! The Mixology Tour included a commemorative Bacardi glass and a free welcome cocktail from the Visitor Center’s bar.
The Mixology Tour started off with the tour of the grounds which included a short trolley ride to the “Cathedral of Rum”, the largest rum distillery in the world.
Mixology Class
Did I tell you this was a legit mixology class? I mean, it’s official. I’m certified!
How to book a tour:
Online booking is now available via their website. We booked it in person since they offer it every hour and we were not in a rush. Last tour is at 4:00 pm. Always check their hours. Sometimes they close for weather reasons.
How to get there:
The best way to get there is from Old San Juan Port then take the ferry. The ferry is really cheap and you get to cruise all the way to Cataño and enjoy some scenic views. You can also take a taxi or rent a car. Transportation is pretty easy overall.
