Snapshots of Salamanca

My brief time in Salamanca, Spain was made up of coffee and lots of pastries. It must have been due to the cold and rainy October weather, and the fact that I just came from Southern Spain. But I thoroughly enjoyed the empty streets as opposed to a crowded college town. Since I only had less than a day, I decided to walk leisurely to the infamous plaza. I was craving for tapas and decided to stop by a local tapas bar. To my surprise, I couldn’t find one! The whole street leading to the plaza was filled with pizza parlors and every other American joint!

When in Spain, the best thing to do is to go to a plaza and enjoy a nice cup of coffee…and maybe some churros to go with it. Here are some photos I took when I was in Salamanca:
