Another year had gone by. A few more cities had been conquered and more amazing places have left their marks in my heart. 2015 had been a rollercoaster ride and it served as a rude awakening for me. Most importantly, it was also the year of travel and dreams as doors I never thought existed have opened up for me.
I cannot speak about what lies ahead of me, but I’m hopeful that it can only get better than 2015. Getting rid of toxic relationships and surrounding myself with only the best people have led me to pursue bigger dreams…and see the world without being chained to a desk.
Here are my favorite travel moments this past year:
Springtime in Japan
The first big trip of 2015 was to the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan – one of my all-time favorite destinations. Better yet, going in the springtime added a more enchanting backdrop.
Summer in San Juan
It was good to be back in Puerto Rico again and spend more time exploring the island. Besides the beautiful beaches, my most unforgettable memory would be the Fajardo bio-bay adventured where my friend and I kayaked in pitch black at midnight. Talk about doing something adventurous! I also enjoyed revisiting Old San Juan and retracing the last time I was there.
Sunny Layover in London
Another city I revisited was my favorite, London. This time around, the weather was too good to be true.
Iberian Peninsula Adventures
My biggest trip this year was exploring Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar.
Besides eating a lot of tapas and drinking a lot of sangria, my Spain and Portugal trip was special because I was able to do some solo travel. This was the highlight of my year. I learned so much from that experience and it won’t be the last solo travel for me.
Taking On Tangier
I spent a day in Tangier, Morocco and it was a truly exhausting experience. Amazing but exhausting in the sense that I had to keep fending off vendors all day. But other than that, Morocco is a beautiful country to visit.
Autumn in the Caribbean
I went back to the Caribbean in November. I just could not get enough of that white sand and aquamarine beach. It was such a fun girls getaway with one of my closest friend. I think Punta Cana was not ready for us.
Family Fun in Florida
Ending the year with a family trip to Florida was the best way to do it. I got to visit family in Orlando and Melbourne and it seems like every four years we go to the parks for the growing kids.
