The Olympic Park in Berlin is probably the most historical ever. It was created for the 1936 Summer Olympics. It was also used by Nazi Germany for their propaganda during Hitler’s regime. The Olympiastadion is now used for major events and visitors are welcome anytime. For more information visit Olympiastadion Berlin.
There was something eerie about the place. The park was quiet and it almost felt desolated. Maybe it was the history, maybe it was the time of day.
Here are some snapshots from my visit:
I didn’t have time to go inside for a tour and my intention was just really to collect this park. During my Germany trip, I was also in Munich (check out my Oktoberfest post) where I was able to go to another Olympic Park.
When you’re in Berlin and you love history, sports and the Olympics, make sure to visit Olympiastadion!
