I confess, the Philippines is my favorite country in the world. I get asked this question often and as a world traveler, I’ve seen a lot of beautiful countries. But I answer this question without even batting my eyes. It may be a biased answer since I was born in the Philippines. My favoritism is rooted in the deep connection I have with this beautiful country and for having the birthright to claim all of its 7,641 islands, home.
Also known as the Pearl of the Orient Seas, this large archipelago is surrounded by the most beautiful beaches in the world. However, the Philippines’ landscape is more than just the beautiful beaches. It has some of the world’s best waterfalls, mountain ranges, rice terraces and so much more. I wanted to share these twelve extraordinary aerial views of the Philippines and I’m hoping it will inspire you to visit my favorite country.
Thank you to my friend and photographer, Joseph Gumia for lending me these amazing photos.
