I loved this hotel. For my 30th birthday, I gifted myself a trip to Greece. I spent three days in Athens and stayed at The Athens Gate. The hotel’s prime location and scenic views are the top reasons why I give this hotel a high rating. My favorite is the rooftop top restaurant overlooking the whole city. Nothing beats dining while gazing at the Acropolis from a distance. The Temple of Zeus can also be viewed from the other side of the hotel.
Everything is walking distance especially the restaurants, souvenir shops and some of the important sites like the Acropolis, Temple of Zeus, First Olympic Stadium, Hadrian’s Arch and National Garden. The Athens Gate Hotel also offers tours and packages and conveniently picks you up from the hotel. The stop for the hop on, hop off tour bus is also within walking distance.
My Top Five:
1. Location, location, location.
2. 360 degree views.
3. Good customer service.
4. Cleanliness.
5. Great value.
Do I recommend this hotel? YES!

Looks great. Thanks for the review! I’ll have the pleasure to try two hotels in Athens (Divani Caravel & Sofitel Athens Airport) in two weeks. I hope the experience will be as good as yours π
Thank you! I loved Athens. You will have to share how your own experience was at some point. Enjoy Athens and say hello to the gods and godesses for me!
Great to hear! I’ll most likely do so in August on my blog, so be sure to check it out π
