We all have that one pair of favorite shoes. Mine was a pair of comfortable coach flats that I’ve had for at least eight years. That was also the longest relationship I had. Don’t judge.
These shoes in particular were my favorite travel companions. They have walked the temples of Japan and climbed the stairs of Santorini. They treaded so many airports and train stations around the world. But as I started to pack for my next big trip, I know my worn-out shoes will not be joining me anymore. It was time for them to retire.
Farewell, old travel shoes. It’s time to make new adventures with a new pair!
