The Bucktown neighborhood is one of the trendiest and popular places in Chicago. The Bucktown/Wicker Park area is famous for its ‘yuppies’ vibe and night life scene. Streets are lined up with shops, boutiques, cafes and pubs, as well as numerous art galleries. Now you know why I like this neighborhood?
Bucktown (Chicago in general) is also a popular setting for filming movies and shows, especially the popular Chicago Fire and Chicago PD shows.
The infamous bar used as a frequent hang out spot of Chicago Fire. In the show it is called “Molly’s”. The show used to film scenes at Lottie’s for the past two seasons but since then built a similar set in Cinespace (a film studio in Chicago). The show doesn’t film there anymore but has transformed Lottie’s into a popular neighborhood bar.
I went there on a Friday night and it was packed! I loved the ambience and they do make good drinks. Not to mention it is a total meat market.
I think I am not done with Bucktown yet….
