My Arctic Circle trip was memorable in many ways. With the short daylight time in Björkliden, Sweden, I was able to take a lot of photos of the picturesque snow-covered landscape that surrounded me. I didn’t realize until I saw all my photos on the computer how much I loved the outcome of the winter images. There’s just something pure and magical about snow. It brightens up any scenery.
I hope these photos can somehow convey what I felt (which was in awe) when I was in the Arctic Circle. May it help transport you even for a moment to this almost fairy-tale like place. Here are some of my favorite images…

I am so against cold, you have no idea… What pisses me off.. is that winter is do damn photogenic. And I can see from your pictures also: it sits so nice in a frame.
Oooo! I always wanted to know more about the Arctic Circle. It looks like such a cool and isolated place to visit. Absolutely beautiful.
What a gorgeous and bright winter wonderland. These pictures really capture the beauty of the snow!
Gorgeous photos. I usually shy away from cold areas but this snow fall looks like a fairytale.
What beautiful photos! They really portray a winter wonderland. I haven’t been in snow like that for ages!
Wowww the view looks absolutely magical. You photos are amazing. I really hope someday I get an opportunity to visit the arctic circle.
Oh wow! Real “hygge”. When you say Arctic Circle, where exactly do you mean? It is in Norway? Looks like somewhere in Scandinavia..
I’ve almost been inside the Arctic Circle! Fun fact, Iceland’s Grimsey island is in the Arctic Circle, about half hour off the mainland. I was scheduled to go there but due to winds and snow, my flight and ferry were canceled. In short, I’m extremely jealous of these pictures and that you’ve been there! Where was this at? Scandinavia is my guess. Safe travels to you!
These pictures are lovely! I think you did an amazing job! I went to Iceland last December and I also had very few hours of light to capture some shots, but winter time has something special that makes those limited hours of light look wondeful on camera!
